It seems like forever ago that I drove to Tamworth to meet Anna Davis, creator and editor-in-cheif of Tamworth-based Downtown Magazine.
See, I had watched this magazine blossom from afar, and I knew, immediately - that it was the kind of publication I wanted to contribtue to and be part of.
What I didn’t expect was for a really sweet friendship to come of that meeting. But, yay, that’s exactly what has happened over the years, with Anna and me.
And I am so glad for it, because I think this is an exceptional woman with a great deal of heart and soul and reslience. These are three qualities I admire hugely in another.
Recently, An was featured in the Sydney Morning Herald, who interviewed her about her sea-change from the big smoke back to the country, and these were some of the images we did for that article.
It was Anna, Flynn, Liv, and pooches Coco and Maisy on the day. And we just hung out and did exactly what I love best - and we documented life as it is for this lovely trio and their puppers.
What I also ADORE is Anna’s effortless style. Everything she touches turns to chic. As you’ll see. Everything around her reflects subtle tones, and elegance. It’s no wonder Downtown is such a stylish and coveted magazine. Her imprint is all over it, and I think she deserves all the kudos she gets for her work.
Not to mention how she somehow juggles Mum-life with all of this. I think she’s quite extraordinary!
Thanks, An, for allowing me to catch my breath in the last hectic few months and for forgiving the delay in turnaround XX
This blog is done in the style I ”do” best - it’s candid, and life, as it happens.
