when the Haire kids grew up....

One of the greatest privileges of being a photographer is that you’re part of making memories that a family will treasure for generations to come. And, watching families grow.

These guys and I have been here before when I documented their lives a few years ago.

And suddenly, everyone’s grown up a bit more! Yet the same sense of affection, fun, and adventure was totally there for our catch up today.

World, please re-introduce yourselves to the divine gang who are: Eliza, Dan, Tess, Charlie & Teddy Haire, and prepare yourself for staring at a screen and smiling stupidly for the next little while.

Because that’s what I’ve done as I sat here editing all day: smiling endlessly and feeling like the luckiest girl in the world to be part of this gift. And feeling like the world is brighter for having these little legends in it.

These kids are bushies through-and-through. 100% my kind of family. Free-range, delightful, and old-school in every aspect – and no doubt a tribute to some brilliant parenting from their elusive Mum and Dad who won’t be caught on camera. Heh heh.

This was a quick morning session … and I am beyond delighted with the magic we made.

As I said to Anna when I hit the road this morning: I hope I am able to be part of documenting these beautiful kids until I am too old to pick up a camera…

Thanks, Haire fam-dam-ilamily, for yet another gorgeous morning of laugher and joy.

Kids: always treasure this close connection …. and always be this awesome - because it’s what life will come back to, and down to, again and again and again xx

Much love

Shanna Bananna xx
